At not quite nine o’clock on a Wednesday,The Masked SingercelebratedBilly Joel.
Robin Thickekicked off the night with his rendition of “My Life” before Poodle Moth started the Group C intros.
“For my entire life I was drawn to the flame, but I always felt like the bright lights were never meant for me,” Poodle Moth said in their clue package that showed an American flag on a journal and a cowboy hat. “I told myself I was never going to be pretty enough or funny enough or talented enough to actually make it. So, I took a step back and helped others achieve their dreams.”
Eventually, Poodle Moth decided to take “the leap and I was discovered,” the canine-insect said.

“That was one of the best vocals I’ve ever, ever heard,” judgeRita Oratold Poodle Moth. “It was so graceful and so hypnotic.”

Winona Ryder,Trisha YearwoodandRita Wilsoncame up as options for Poodle Moth’s identity.
Clock clocked in next.
“I’m delighted being here on Billy Joel Night because, let’s face it, we’re both timeless,” Clock said in her clue package. “Once upon a time, I was the belle of the ball. I had the whole world dancing from dusk ‘til dawn. Everyone knew my name, but as the years passed, trends started to change and I suddenly felt like I was becoming frozen in time. So this queen reinvented herself and I achieved massive success again on my own terms.”

Clock crooned “Piano Man,” causingJenny McCarthyto issue a warning to the other contestants. “It is time to be scared because this queen has arrived onThe Masked Singer,” McCarthy, 51, said.
For Clock’s extra clue, one of the Men in Black played Joel’s hit “Vienna.” “Vienna is all about seizing the day, and I actually have a day in my name,” Clock explained.
The panel thought Clock might beAnita Baker, Evelyn “Champagne” King orDiana Ross.
Spaghetti and Meatballs followed up with a saucy performance.
“Throughout my career, I’ve worn many different hats,” Spaghetti and Meatballs said in his clue package that included a sports car and a chef’s hat. “Searching for a life that’s full of the Italian dish shared the biggest lesson they learned: ‘You don’t want to die young in a path you don’t love so spice things up.'"

Spaghetti and Meatballs tackled “Only the Good Die Young.”
“It was giving every ingredient, honey!” Ora, 33, exclaimed.
Spaghetti and Meatballs received a giant pizza that read “show time” for his extra clue. “I spend a good portion of my time on a hit show,” Spaghetti and Meatballs said.
Guy Fieri,Gordon RamsayandStanley Tucciarose as possibilities for Spaghetti and Meatballs.
Lizard closed out the evening.
“Some people might label me a ladies’ man, the bad boy type in Billy Joel songs,” Lizard said in his clue package. “But that’s not the real me.”
The reptile explained he “was smitten” when he met the love of his life, but years later, “she was fed up of my superstar shenanigans and she threatened to walk out that door.”

“That’s when I had a premonition,” Lizard continued. “I told her I thought she was pregnant and it turns out she was.”
The clue package additionally contained a heart-shaped lollipop, a crab cupcake and a Christmas ornament.
Lizard stunned the crowd with “Uptown Girl.”
A taxi brought out a postcard that read “billboards” for Lizard’s extra clue. “I’ve had a No. 1 billboard, and I’m not talking about Times Square,” Lizard said.
The judges though Lizard might be Ricky Bell, Michael Bivens, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant orRay J.
The panel and studio audience voted for their favorite performances of the night, and hostNick Cannonannounced that Lizard and Spaghetti and Meatballs received the least amount of votes and would face off in the Smackdown. Each contestant put their spin on “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”
“That was one of my favorite, if not my favorite ever, because the Spaghetti and Meatballs came out swinging and it felt just like the real record,” Thicke, 47, gushed.
The panel voted one more time to decide who would stay, and they decided that would be Lizard. That left Spaghetti and Meatballs to unmask. When the pasta popped off the oversized mustache mask, chefJoe Bastianichappeared.
