The Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo will be work on on the upgrade ( said to be three age behind schedule ) , with 24 going “ on a higher floor ” and six being kept back in case of wrong . The new planet will be targeting outages , and will treble the signaling available for commercial enjoyment — meaning that accessing Google Maps on our phone , using sat - navs in our car , or even withdrawing money from cash machine will be faster and more accurate than before .
