A fit cut from the Fringe season finale is usable as a “ Ford scoop . ” Which makes good sense , considering it ’s mostly merchandise placement for the Taurus . But do n’t be fooled – there are clues about Violet Sedan Chair here too .
It ’s not intemperate to pretend why the scene was deleted – all those loving shots of the Ford Taurus ’s gratifying manipulation and kickass amusement organization do n’t really have that much to do with the ongoing struggle between parallel population . ( Unless this chronological succession is meant to suggest that , in the substitute universe , people actually require to drive Fords . )
The most interesting part of the chronological sequence is the continued reference to Violet Sedan Chair , the fictional dance orchestra that apparently made only one record album on our Earth but made three album on the other Earth . First cite in “ The Northwest Passage ” , the band was also mentioned in a JJ Abrams - blue-pencil issuance of Wired . There are also some mysterious YouTube videos about them and assorted other online detritus , so it in all likelihood all means something , but damned if I can visualise it out .

After all , if it was just some random throwaway line , why not pluck a real band that only made one album in our world like , say , um , the Sex Pistols ? If nothing else , Peter telling his alternate forefather that “ Anarchy in the U.K. ” was the soundtrack of his puerility would have been deserving the price of admission .
