Fox has confirmed that it is in talk of the town to revive its iconic supernatural horror adjective , The X - Files .
Speaking Saturday at the Television Critics Association ’s wintertime mechanical press tour , Fox television receiver administrator Dana Walden and Gary Newman say they ’ve been in talks not only with series God Almighty Chris Carter , but stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson , about the show ’s revitalization . Discussions to date have not been originative in nature but logistical ; with Carter , Duchovny and Anderson all busy with their own projects , the big obstruction facing the reboot could be finding a time frame of reference during which all three are free . Here ’s Walden :
Gary and I both work [ at twentieth Century Fox Television ] through the entire run ofThe X Files . It was a large experience . We ’ve maintain good relationships with Chris , David and Gillian . We ’re very bright , but it ’s severely . The actors are very fussy . They have a lot go on . Chris has a destiny on his crustal plate , so it ’s just trying to carve out the time .
Newman , for one , says he is “ bright ” about the outcome of the talks .
