Lots of hotel rooms get along with VCRs these days , but has anyone stayed in one with a DVD participant ?
UPDATE :
Several readers have written in to say that , yes , they have stayed in hotel offer DVD players in their rooms , include the Meridian and60 Thompsonhere in New York City , Porchesin Massachusetts , the New World Renaissance in Kownloon , Hong Kong , and of course , the hotel in Ian Schrager ’s strand . Gizmodo ’s curiousity was sparked by a late stay in a hotel in San Francisco which had a videocassette recorder , but no videodisc instrumentalist with which to play our freshly win stack of DVD . DVD players are so inexpensive these days that one would expect that most hotels volunteer VCRs in their guest rooms would probably make replacement to DVD .
