The secret is out atWalt Disney World.AsDisney Food Blog first reportedin 2018, Disney’s Port Orleans resort is now selling a boozy option of their signature fluffy beignets that come with small injectable vessels filled with liquor. When you squeeze them into the center of the hollow squares of fried dough, they soak up the flavor of the alcohol, making for a decidedly magical experience. While guests have previously been able to choose from options of Bailey’s, Kahlua or Rumchata,Disney Food Bloghas discovered there is a secret fourth option, Godiva chocolate liqueur, now available. The outlet says that “the warm flaky dough plus the chilled liqueur is a perfect combination,” and warns that they are “pretty strong,” likening the flavor to adult chocolate milk. The beignets can be found at Scat Cat’s Club, a New Orleans-style live music lounge at the resort, which is themed around the Louisiana bayou. You won’t see the Godiva liqueur version on the menu, so you’ll have to ask for it with authority.Disney Food Blog also reports that while guests used to have to choose one type of liquor for all three beignets, you can now mix it up and try out a different booze for each. This isn’t the only creative way to catch a buzz at Walt Disney World. While the Magic Kingdom was an alcohol-free zone for most of its 47-year history, they began serving beer and wine at Be Our Guest restaurant in 2012, and now offer it atevery sit-down restaurant in the park. Epcot has also become a destination for those looking to eat and drink their way “around the world” at the World Showcase, andDisney Springsis home to a multitude of restaurants that cater to an adult crowd (Dole Whip mimosa brunch, anyone?).You can get the liqueur-filled beignets at a price of $8 for a box of three.
