There was a great mental disturbance in the amusement park strength this weekend , as Disney uncover that the shutting date for its 20 - class - old Star Tours ride would be July 27 ( Disneyland ) and September 8 ( Walt Disney World ) .
But do n’t fuss too much , unseasoned padawans , as the Star Tours rides are set to be replaced with a much grander , much more mod 3D seedcase racing version in May 2011 .
Still , even though Star Tours was moderately date , it will be deplorable to see the original go . Glad I draw to experience it once a few years ago before it ’s go for dependable . [ Gadling ]
