And that achiever is Steve Young from the Isles of Scilly , who won the annual competition with his exposure of a herring gull stick out his ground amidst the crash wafture .
My favorite , the frog spawn shot from Steward Ellett , won the extremely commended prize in the “ wildlife in my backyard ” category . The full listing of winners are over on the British Wildlife Photography Awards website , and should give some serious aspiration for amateur photographers .
