We ’ve come toexpect the unexpectedon Marvel Studios ’ Loki . Different timelines , crazy callbacks , multiple variation , and , most recently , an alligator with trump . The character , bring up to as “ Alligator Loki , ” was introduced in thepost - credits sequenceof Loki ’s fourth instalment , “ The Nexus Event , ” but come to the forefront in episode five , “ Journey Into Mystery . ” With a new fan best-loved now hard established , the squad behind the show speak about the standout character , from what he looked like before to how he act as on set — and whether or not he is , in fact , a Loki .

And concord toLoki director Kate Herron , the answer was n’t immediately obvious and multiple versions were designed . “ We had some former versions when we were doing visual effect that probably were a bit too cute , in the sensory faculty of it was a bit more like a cartoony kind of alligator , ” Herron said . “ But it just became funnier and amusing the more it looked like a real gator that just happened to be wearing the horns . That was the sweet-smelling position . Once we landed in that spot where it feel like a material alligator , but with a kind of slightly jaunty trump on , that ’s where we were like , ‘ Oh , there he is . ’ ”
There he is indeed . Chances are we wo n’t see Alligator Loki in next calendar week ’s finale episode — but if there are more seasons or more time spend with some of the variants , mayhap he could bite some more hands off at some peak . “ It ’s so stupid , but it also makes total common sense , ” Waldron said . “ You almost have to take it severely , like perhaps he is [ a Loki ] ? Why should n’t there be an alligator version of Loki ? For all we fuck , that ’s an alligator universe or whatever . It ’s just the kind of pert thing that , in this show , we toy straight and make the audience take it badly . ”
