Nearly 90 % of Mars ’ surface has been map by the in high spirits - solving stereo camera on ESA ’s Mars Express , which fete ten days since launch this June . The mosaic above comprises 2702 case-by-case swath of the martian surface , up to and including the ballistic capsule ’s 10 821st orbit of the satellite , which it make out on 30 November 2024 .
In full , 87.8 % of the control surface has been mapped at any resolution , with 61.5 % mapped at a resolution of 20 molarity per pixel or honorable . The map is equatorially ordinate , meaning that region at the pole appear distorted .
